About Armenian Community Centre of Cambridge

Since the settlement of the first Armenians in Cambridge, the Armenian Community Centre (ACC) has been the focal point of Canadian Armenian life. The Armenian Community in Cambridge is one of the oldest Armenian community centres in Canada and has existed in various shapes and forms for over 100 years. Today, the ACC is the home of over 3,000 Armenians living in Southwestern Ontario, including: Cambridge, Kitchener-Waterloo Region, Guelph & Wellington County, London and Mississauga.

As a registered charitable organization, the ACC provides a multitude of services to all Ontarians including the Adult Education and ESL programs, Saturday School language classes, youth groups, new immigrant services, cooking classes and art exhibits. In addition, the facility is used for cultural events, sports tournaments, scouting gatherings, meetings and social and recreational activities.

Among the greatest accomplishments of this community have been the development of the current Community Centre complex (1982), the A.R.S Saturday School (1964), and Homemetmen Sports and Scouting (1977), St. Nishan Armenian Apostolic Church (1978), and the AYC (2016).
